Eligibility for Nursing Jobs with UK NHS Trusts is determined by whether a candidate meets the criteria necessary for registration with the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC). From 1 November 2017 the NMC have set out the following guidelines to demonstrate your English language capability:
- Evidence 1: Occupational English Test (OET) Grade B or International English Language Test System (IELTS) Level 7 overall over two tests.
- Evidence 2: Nursing degree taught and examined in English where 50% of the course was clinical and 75% of the clinical work is conducted in English.
Evidence 3: Registered and practised for a minimum of one year in a country where English is the first and native language, and a successful pass in an English language test was required for registration.
