*Meet the Team – Laura* Recruitment Consultant

Laura

My role as an International Recruitment Consultant at Jane Lewis International involves the recruitment of overseas healthcare professionals to the UK.

I work closely with my clients providing a high level of service, assisting them with their recruitment needs. I send regular reports outlining where all candidates are in the process of their application, which is highly beneficial for my clients as this provides them with an in-depth update of all candidate’s progress.

I build a close relationship with all candidates who are going through the process, supporting them with their application and assisting them with any queries they may have.

Part of my role involves me going to the airport and greeting the candidates once they have arrived in the UK. I ensure they receive a warm and friendly welcome, before taking them to the hospital where they will be working and beginning their new life.

I thoroughly enjoy this part of my role. It’s wonderful to finally meet the people I’ve supported throughout their application, and to be the first person to meet them as soon as they arrive after their long flight.

It’s a dream come true for them and it is so rewarding to be a part of making this happen.

*Meet the Team – Courtney* International Manager

CWW

My role at Jane Lewis International involves recruiting Healthcare professionals from overseas to work within NHS and private hospitals in the UK, providing urgently needed staff ensuring safe staffing levels and patient safety.

I work with my client Hospitals through a partnership approach and look to provide a holistic recruitment process for my overseas candidates, matching people perfectly with my clients not only from a professional point of view but to ensure they are going to receive the right support to help them adapt to a new culture and lifestyle.

I regularly travel overseas to the Philippines and India and have developed a strong relationship orientated recruitment process, from pre-screening, informing and advising on all the steps which can be quite daunting and financially concerning for my candidates. They are looking for a better life and future for their family, they are highly qualified with excellent communication skills however sadly they receive low pay and some live in poor conditions whilst giving of themselves selflessly to their patients.

I manage the candidate process from initial pre-screening interview right through to meeting them at the airport in the UK and accompanying them to their new place of work and accommodation. On occasion I also assist with shopping for food and essential home items and opening a UK bank account.

I am passionate about my role and driven by my candidates and clients, my satisfaction is knowing that I have helped to transform the lives of my candidates whilst knowing the considerable benefits to my client hospitals and patients. I feel lucky to be a part of their story and would say my own life has been transformed by my job.

If you have any questions please post them below or get in touch on international@janelewis.co.uk I work alongside my team of recruitment consultants and we are all equally committed to this amazing process.

Another Success Story!

Jessica

Meet Jessica!

Jessica is one of our lovely nurses who had initially been referred us to by a friend.

Jessica applied to us via email and was later interviewed with University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. After a rocky start of failing both IELTS and CBT first time, Jessica persevered and passed both tests on their second time, which resulted in the hospital being able to apply for her COS. Following the visa processing and arrival, Jessica started at Furness General Hospital on the 17th of October 2017.

Jessica stated “The process from start to finish was a year in the making but it was all worth it because of God’s grace and because of the continuous support of the staff of Jane Lewis International. From day 1, they have always supported me, assisting me with whatever I needed for the exams and the processing of documents. And I could not thank you guys enough for everything you have done. I pray for your continued success :) God bless!”

Jessica has passed her OSCE and has obtained her NMC pin and is now a fully registered nurse – we wish her continued luck and success in her adventure at Furness!

Abegail cropped

It is possible!… your dreams can come true in just 3 months!

This is the story of Abegail.

In an amazing turnaround time of just three months, Abegail completed the Jane Lewis International relocation process and is now living and working in the UK.

Abegail’s journey began in November when she was interviewed by representatives from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. After travelling 4 hours to attend the recruitment event organised by Jane Lewis International, Abegail was offered a nursing position.

After attempting the IELTS test, Abegail booked for an OET to meet the NMC English language requirements, which she passed with flying colours! In the following two weeks Abegail passed her CBT and obtained all her documents to allow us to apply for her COS in January. After attending her Visa appointment, Abegail arrived in the UK on the 12th of February.

Abegail has the following advice – “If you were to ask me about the formula of breezing through the process, it would be – Hard work, determination, time management, partnership with people who have the same enthusiasm and energy as yours and prayers… And yes, dreams do come true!!!.”

Client Testimonial – Countess of Chester Hospital

We are really grateful to Dee at Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust for her kind words about Jane Lewis International.

“The Jane Lewis agency has been the Countess of Chesters’ partner of choice for oversees recruitment for over 7 years.

They continue to market scan the globe for the best supply of nurses based on price and quality. The key differentiator is the thorough checking process they do which includes the likelihood and ability of the candidates to commit to our hospital, their ability to settle and their ability to stay. When things don’t go according to plan they are quick to respond and work with us to rectify any problems. I highly recommend the Jane Lewis agency and in particular, our account team of Courtney Wardle and Jane Grimwade.”

Kind Regards

Dee

~ Thanks Dee, long may we work with you.
